How long will the inspection of my dog take?
It´s usually quite fast it might take 10 minutes for the veterinarian to fully examined your dog and determined if it´s free of screwworm.
How can the veterinarian tell if my dog has screwworm?
A screwworm infection is quite easy to detect. A dog with a screwworm infestation will typically show signs of a festering, foul-smelling wound that may be enlarged and deep, with maggots present.The dog may also bite or lick at the wound, exhibit irritated behavior, and have a reduced appetite.
Will I receive the certificate right there on the spot?
Yes, the veterinarian already has your screwworm certificate filled out and ready to hand over after the inspection of your dog.
How much will it cost?
The screwworm certificate is $1500 MXN and the general health certificate is $700 MXN. You only pay $150 MXN to reserve.
